This course is a combination of self-learning via downloadable modules, Zoom meetings with the instructor (either individual or group) and a live 3-day session with other students and the instructor at the Ankeny DMACC campus. Students are responsible for completing each of the following assignments in order to qualify for a Certificate of Completion.

The content is comprised of two areas; the first is learning the auctioneer cry, or chant, or what we refer to as bid calling. The second area focuses on how you fit into the industry and the many considerations and opportunities you have in the auction industry. It also discusses working for others or setting up your own part- or full-time business.
